Service Description: This dataset contains modeled economic contribution values (industry output, employment, labor income, and value added) for the forest sector across East Texas counties. The indicators are derived from IMPLAN economic models and represent the direct and total contributions of forest-related industries to county and regional economies. The feature service powers interactive mapping, multi-year trend analysis, and report generation on the public-facing website. Users can explore economic output, jobs, and income for individual counties or multi-county selections, view results by industry type, and export data for further analysis. Geographic Extent: East Texas – 43 counties Temporal Coverage: Reporting years: 2007, 2009, 2014, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2024 Attributes Include: Industry Output (Direct & Total) Employment (Direct & Total) Labor Income Value Added Forestry, Logging, Primary Wood/Paper, Secondary Wood/Paper industry categories County identifiers and names Intended Use: For visualization and analysis of economic contributions of forest-sector industries at the county and regional levels. Supports planning, reporting, research, policy evaluation, and public communication. Data Source: IMPLAN economic modeling results produced by the Texas A&M Forest Service.
